so,i make a new thread asking for help.

 

 

with my attachment,

 

i the contect will show both first name and last name,

 

i try to make some modify but still fail,

 

is it possible only showing the first name ?

do you really need it to? I know it looks like a simple change, but it's complicated underneath to do.

 

the big problem with this is that, unlike previous sidebar tweaks, we don't know the name of the menuitems - therefore, the only way to do what you want, would be to manipulate arrays either by...

 

a) getting the array of children in the sidebar, using PHP to change the labels of those children to firstname and then sending the modified array back to the sidebar.

b) if there is >0 contacts, using the $contacts array (which has a firstname variable) to either change the labels, or create a new sidebar using the firstname variable.

 

in some ways, it would probably be 'simpler' to create a new sidebar rather than modifying the existing one.
