VAT rule question

Hello ,

i would to know if it 's possible to add a new tax rule for private clients That live in Europe , Italy excluded . According to italian law , if they have not VAT number , i need to apply TAX on their invoices . If they have it, instead , i need to write a particular string into the notes field .

 

Is it possible or actually i need a customization ?

three thoughts...

 

1. are you using the free EU VAT Addon? that will apply tax when not given a VAT number.

2. I think the string might require a customisation - either as a hook, or possibly more simply, an invoicepdf tweak to display the string if customer is Italian and no VAT provided.

3. there is a third-party addon, Billing Extension, that has additional VAT and invoicing features...

Yes, i'm using EU VAT Addon. I have 2 tax rules. The first for italian people that have 22% of tax rate and the second one for the people of the other countries but it's not enough for me because i need more features.

 

Thanks a lot for the other suggestions. I'll try, for the moment, to insert a "if condition" into my invoicepdf.tpl.
