impex
when the customer wants to make payment, can the email received by the customer along with the invoice have a link where they can just click on the link and make the payment without having to log in to the client area ?
brian!
you could modify the "Invoice Created" email template to include a payment link.. {$invoice_payment_link} e.g, if the invoice was set to use PayPal, clicking on the above link would take the client to the Paypal site, and then once logged into the Paypal site, they could pay your invoice - they wouldn't need to log into the client area.
wkirschnerjr
Hey Brian, thanks for posting that. I also was looking for a way to do this. I tried your way with modifying the template and the link changes to 'Make a One Time Payment with PayPal', but no action happens when I click on it. I tried through gmail and my webmail client. Ideas?
brian!
well I originally tried it on a non-gmail account read in Thunderbird - that works fine... i've just tried it again with the invoice email sent to a gmail address and it still works fine. the only difference I can see is that when view the email on the gmail website, clicking on the link generates a popup window saying "You are submitting information to an external page. Are you sure?"... do you have any firewall/adblockers that would block these popups as I suspect that could be the reason the link wouldn't work for you.
