digitaljunction
Hi All, I have searched for an answers but I don't seem to find an answer to my situation. So here it is. I have a new WHMCS installation. The default currently is AUD. Most of the products are in AUD but I have some that I need to sell in USD and not AUD. The USD component is set to $0. When I add these items to the order the USD services appear as $0 in the cart. What can I do force a currency conversion on the check out? Thanks in advance.
brian!
What can I do force a currency conversion on the check out? you shouldn't need to do that. assuming that you've setup the second currency of USD correctly... http://docs.whmcs.com/Currencies when you go the product setup for this product and click the pricing tab, you should see both currencies - that would allow you to enter a price for both AUD and USD... if for this product, you don't enter a AUD price, but enter a USD price, you should see that product priced correctly in the cart... under those circumstances, anyone using AUD won't see this product. the point being that you can price products separately in different currencies, if you want, to without the need for currency conversion. however, if you do want to use currency conversion and, optionally, have it update your product pricing, you can use the automation settings and it should update when your cron runs. http://docs.whmcs.com/Automation_Settings#Currency_Auto_Update_Settings that said, i'm unsure how it would handle a product not priced in the default currency...? it might make it zero for USD or leave the existing USD price alone... I should also add the existing customers can't change their currencies - e.g they can order in AUD but then can't later order again in USD... they will always have to order in AUD (unless they create a second account for USD)... and if this product is USD only, they won't even see it anyway.
