Stopping fake signups

So recently I've been getting people trying to sign up to shared hosting packages with their domain as xxxx.eznethost.com xxx being different each time.

 

they don't pay and so the account in not created on my hosting service but is there a way to stop this, it's getting quite annoying

Are you using Maxmind (http://docs.whmcs.com/MaxMind)?

 

I'd recommend starting with this as a lot of fraudlent orders are easily blocked (e.g such as those coming from proxy servers).

 

This should reduce the amount of these orders that get through.

Thanks. but that costs a subscription and right now as a small startup I'm only just breaking even. Fraud monitoring will be a little further down the line. I was hoping there was some way to prevent people creating accounts that a sub domain of MY domain. I run a free trial and if one of them realizes all they have to do is put in the trial code when they create their account and they can set their account

Maxmind to my knowledge is free for smaller companies, it only costs after x amount of checks per month and the limit is very high.

 

I'd recommend contacting WHMCS to see if it's still free.
