technopuzzle
I just upgraded from WHMCS 5.3.14 to 6.1.1. The upgrade went smoothly. After logging in to the WHMCS Admin I went to HELP - HELP & UPDATES. I am receiving an "failed" error telling me my PHP version needs to be updated. The server's default is 5.3.x. I have the ability to use a different PHP version by adding a line to my .htaccess file. When I add this line to the .htaccess file for my WHMCS directory, for PHP 5.4, I then get an error that WHMCS can no longer connect to the database. I remove the line from the .htaccess, thus using the servers default PHP 5.3, and WHMCS can then connect to the database. Can anyone suggest a possible solution? I'd be happy to share any necessary information. Thanks!
brian!
to be honest, if WHMCS is happily working for you, i'd just ignore the error. the minimum requirement is v5.3.7, so that's all you'll need for now... at some point, it might need an upgrade, but i'd cross that bridge when necessary. http://docs.whmcs.com/Version_6.0_System_Requirements
