Setting Up Domains & Domain Pricing

Sorry if this is answered somewhere already but I've been going around in circles for a couple of hours getting more and more confused...

Everything I read in the docs suggests I have to add any domains I want to offer one by one, and then go through and set up a pricing matrix for every single on of them?

If that's the case, then I'll either have to spend weeks adding hundreds of domains and their respective pricing matrices...

Or else I just add a few and risk losing any customers who have their hearts set of a different domain?

I'm really hoping there's some other way to do this, but so far I haven't been able to find it?

The closest I came was a request from 8 years ago for some way to sync your WHMCS install with your domain registrar and have all available domains added and updated automatically. That would be ideal but the post never got a response, so I don't know if it's an option yet?

Please... any tips on adding a lot of different domains and their pricing matrices? A link to relevant instructions would be good as it sounds like this is a fairly common newbie question but no easy to find answer.

Thanks in advance

Matt

Hi Matt,

yes - sort of... that's generally the way to do it.

i'm sure you've already read the pricing page, but here it is if you haven't - http://docs.whmcs.com/Domain_Pricing

what that page doesn't mention is that there is a duplicate TLD button - so if you have a number of TLDs with the same pricing structure, you can set one up manually and enter the pricing for it, and then duplicate the entry for other TLDs with the same price - that will save you some time.

If that's the case, then I'll either have to spend weeks adding hundreds of domains and their respective pricing matrices...

we've all been there! :)

there are alternatives - but it depends on which registrar(s) you're using... e.g if you are using a registrar that uses the LogicBoxes software (Resellerclub, Resell.biz and NetEarthOne), then there is a free addon you can use to import your domains and pricing.

there is also a paid eNom addon that can imports domains and pricing - though as I don't use eNom, I haven't personally tried it.

there maybe similar addons available for other registrars.
