domain checker not working

hi, i hope you can help me with this.

everything was working fine, and then one day, if i want to buy hosting plus a domain, and i click on check availability, i get this

Screen Shot 2015-09-18 at 09.50.16.png

i'm running whmcs 6.0.2

i've got errors "on" on both php and whmcs config. domain checker.php works perfectly for transfer and to register a domain only. so i imagine that's something to do with the domain+hosting combination. all hosting packages have the free domain configured, and work fine if you're only purchasing a domain.

i've also checked captcha related issues, but it doesn't make any difference if i remove it or not. in fact, whem clicking on check availability the chaptcha check gets bypassed and you get to the posted screen whether you filled it or not

any thoughts?

thank you very much

Mauro

my first thought would be order-form template settings - domainchecker is handled by your main template, but once you add hosting into the equation, then it's covered by your choice of order-form template.

perhaps the product group is assigned a template that doesn't exist or is corrupt in some way - maybe a clash with your main template? the activity log and/or your php errors may give you a clue as to where the issue is.

Hi Brian, thank you for your quick answer. Always precious!

I've looked at templates and oder-forms and it all looks ok. I've tried changing them but got the same thing still.

I had a look at my logs and the only thing I could find is this

POST /whmcs/domainchecker.php HTTP/1.1" 200 4347 but i think that's ok. I had nothing in any error log, file system, cpanel, php, nothing...

Any other thoughts?

thank you very much

Mauro

Any other thoughts?

having taken another look, I think it might be your main template - you still seem to be using "Default"... for v6, that was renamed to "five".

if I go to your site and force it to use either "five" or "six" templates, it seems to work - I would guess there might be something about "default" that v6 doesn't like.

best advice I can give would be to compare your "default" template to "five" and see if there are any differences... or if you haven't modified "default" significantly, just use "five" and tweak that to your needs.

btw - your "Basic" and "Standard" products are set to not require a domain... that won't be causing your issue, but thought it worth mentioning. :)
