Domain Reseller Automation Feedback

Hello:

currently we are using Fasthosts for registering our domains but unfortunately its a very manual process. We wish to automate the process using our WHMCS installation but unsure which registrar to use so would welcome community feedback please. eNom appear to have fairly attractive pricing for .coms etc but UK specific domains seem quite pricey to what we are already paying.

Thoughts ?

you do have the option of using multiple registrars - you don't necessarily have to put all your eggs in one basket and stick with just one registrar... though it might make life simpler if you did. :)

it's going to be too large to embed here in the forum, but take a look at the image link below...

that'll give you pricing for some popular TLDs from OpenSRS, Resell.biz and NetEarthOne respectively - the cheapest registrar for any particular TLD will have the price highlighted in blue... the Sterling prices may be a penny off either way, but from those registrars you pay in USD anyway, so that's just there for our benefit!

I believe you still have to pay a fee to join OpenSRS, and certainly you would to become a Nominet member - so unless you have enough .uk registrations/renewals to make it worthwhile, that might not be an option for .uk domains.

we've never used Resellerclub (or eNom), but resell.biz and NEO both use the same logicboxes software that Resellerclub use - and are free to join.
