Transfer back end domain provider

Say a client has domain.net purchased through us at OpenSRS using their module. We're going to transfer it to Enom for price savings. How can we transfer the domain on the backend without having to involve the client? Or do we have to do a full transfer complete with EPP code and notify the client?

You would do the transfer manually yourselves.

We do this all the time to move domains between registrars. Set the domain to 'Email' for the registrar in WHMCS, move the domain manually, and then set the due dates in whmcs to get payments in sync. Change back to enom once the payments are correct.

Thanks Blake, the "move the domain manually" is the gray area for me. How do you actually get OpenSRS to transfer the domain to Enom without email the client about getting permission?

Assuming you own both the account at OpenSRS and Enom, you don't need permission from the client. They pay you to manage their domains for them. You unlock the domain at OpenSRS and get the epp code and you initiate the transfer at Enom. This takes place outside of whmcs.

You can PM me if you need more info.
