Missing Email Message Log entries

I'm not sure if this is bug, if it is I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed in the decade this software has existed. However, if a ticket submitter is not already a registered client, such as a pre-sale customer or otherwise, for some reason there will be no entry in the Email Message Log for that ticket reply. I often like to check the log to make sure the email went through without errors, and to see what merge fields were populated, and modify email templates if necessary.

I have no idea if this is done by design but if it is, that's honestly pretty stupid.

bumping the thread won't help you get a reply from WHMCS about this - that would likely only occur if you reported it as a bug in the Bug Reports forum.

but someone already did that five years ago, and were told then that it wasn't a bug (no reply, but the thread title was changed).

that's usually WHMCS code for it is intentionally designed to work that way - so not a bug, a WHMCS design feature!

Well that's a ridiculously stupid feature.
