Soufan
Hello, I would strongly suggest starting with a cPanel Hosting Reseller until you get more familiar with WHM tools, once you build a a decent knowledge/understanding, upgrade into a small VPS, eventually into a big professional dedicated server. Regards,

sentq
many of WHM/cPanel reseller programs out there offer WHMCS license for free, this license can be installed in your reseller account (the same account as your clients). for the beginning it will be good start with reseller program, as it will take you some time to build your client base, know how things work, and plan to go higher then.
Alex - Arvixe
If you start with a dedicated server your costs will increase significantly. These funds could instead be spent on marketing or saved for a rainy day. Remember, it is never just the dedicated server that you need to buy, it is licenses for control panel, backup software, backup server, add ons like Cloudlinux and Softaculous etc - And a big one, proper/full server management. A reseller account has all of these included at a simple $15 - $35 (depending on where you shop) monthly fee. In many cases, it also includes WHMCS for free or another billing software. And to top the reseller packages off, you have a (normally) 24/7 support team you can reach out to where you wouldn't with a dedicated server unless you outsource / hire employees.
chahoor
NO, don't worry at all. It is never to late. you may start right now. Just keep in mind knowledge, pros, cons & technical side of it is very important. once you have strong command on it than it would be much easier for you to run the race. Good Luch
beleprifs
Is their really any money to be made in providng hostign. Not literally the hostign fee you can charge but how would you market yourself in a VERY crowded markeplace?

ThemeChilly
Hey, It's a good idea to join a web hosting business and it doesn't matter at all that when you started it. I'll highly recommend you to prefer WHMCS as it's more advanced than cPanel and can deliver you much better results if you use relevant addons with it. Good luck! Infopro
This thread is a magnet it seems. Might be better suited for over at WebHostingTalk forum where there's a much larger audience for feedback on this sort of topic.
