Data Feed

Recommended Posts

Hi! I have been working on a site that collect game server prices from WHMCS sites. At the time I took a look at the data feeds but couldn't get it working because game servers have fields like slots etc. I got it working with a scraper but it really isn't that reliable. So my question is: Is there any way i could use the data feed for this or is there some other way that would work better?

Thanks!

well you can't use a data feed to query someone else's WHMCS database - and there would be no guarantee that they will not have deleted (or protected) their own data feeds (they are not essential to the running of WHMCS).

one possible way to do it would be to write a data feed to get the output you want from WHMCS and then ask each game server site to host it on their whmcs installation... that should make the data accurate and reliable - but is dependent upon the hosts wanting to do it.
