domainchecker.php issues v6.1

thanks to the guy posting all the tld servers I was able to fix alot of issues , however:

letstry56.us.com

letstry56.cn.com

letstry56.press

WHMCS V6.1 Centos 6

using theme 6 template -all individual domain search ( domainchecker.php ) work.

Bulk search gets “ Status Unknown “

/includes/whoisservers.php has:

.cn.com|whois.centralnic.com|DOMAIN NOT FOUND

.us.com|whois.centralnic.com|DOMAIN NOT FOUND

.press|whois.centralnic.com|DOMAIN NOT FOUND

Using our preferred theme 5 template we get nothing to show for these 3 tlds.

Bulk doesn’t find them , “ unavailable”

individual search comes back “There was a problem connecting to the domain registry”

Port 43 has been checked in firewall and is fine and I have telneted from our whmcs server to these hosts and gotten satisfactory replies.

Anybody else having this issue?

Fixed .

The problem was that my linode centos 6.5 was contacting whois.centralnic.com via ipv6:

telnet whois.centralnic.com 43

Trying 2001:67c:2630::1701:136... <-- this appears to get an ipv6 address through linode resolvers:

that may work if I had firewall chain for ipv6 but I dont.

I hard coded the IP into the whoisserver.php and fixed it temp.

Then more reading had me try turning off the use of ipv6 altogether and bang all works just fine.
