MJHost
Okay, so this is a new problem for us. We use the Mass Mail function quite regularly, and have just come across an error, saying: SMTP Error: Could not authenticate. We followed the documentation from WHMCS, and edited configuration.php, adding the: $smtp_debug = true; This has resulted in the following information: CLIENT -> SERVER: EHLO http://www.mjhost.co.uk CLIENT -> SERVER: AUTH LOGIN CLIENT -> SERVER: ************************= CLIENT -> SERVER: ****************** SMTP ERROR: Password command failed: 535 Incorrect authentication data SMTP Error: Could not authenticate. CLIENT -> SERVER: QUIT SMTP Error: Could not authenticate. This has started occurring today, we have made no changes, and the password is correct. (We even tried a password change to make sure) Anyone able to offer any advice, or suggestions? Greatly appreciated. MJHost
Hi sentq, Thank you for your reply. We managed to find out what the error was. It was rectified at the datacenter.
