Affiliate customisation

I have a few customisation questions for the affiliate module, that I have not been able to find answers for elsewhere:

 

• Is it possible to use a different affilidate ID? I'm thinking about something more random rather than the numeric IDs automatically generated by WHMCS
  
• Is there a way to link directly to product categories (e.g. web hosting) rather than linking to the portal home?
  
• Would it be possible to integrate the affiliate system with a WordPress sales site?

I don't believe so from within WHMCS, and I can't recall any third-party addon that offers that feature... but take a look in the appstore to see if there is.

you can link to a product, but i'm pretty sure I read one of the WHMCS guys say that you can't link to product groups..

there are some third-party addons that allow you to link to any page, so you might be able to use either of them to link to a product group.

Brian, thank you so much for having searching skills superior to mine. I will have a look at your findings and see if there is an easy way to achieve what I am trying to do.
