How to add additional quote stages in quote stage dropdown

Vista

Recommended Posts

Hi All, just wondering how to add an additional option in the quote 'Stage' dropdown in the quotes section in admin?

Currently there are the following options in the dropdown;

Draft

Delivered

Accepted

Lost

Dead

We would like to add another stage or option into this dropdown list.

Many thanks in advance

I don't think that you can - certainly in v5.3, those options were hard-coded (e.g., not in the database) - I assume it's the same with v6... unlike the ticket statuses where you can add a custom status from the admin area.

theoretically, you could rename them using Language Overrides, but that's probably not a good idea as you'd just be changing the labels and not the functions being them... e.g you could rename "Dead" to "Alive & kicking", but it would still perform the function of "Dead" (close the quote).

there is an action hook you can use to add html to the admin quotes page - but it's additional HTML, not replacing or modifying existing code - http://docs.whmcs.com/Hooks:AdminAreaViewQuotePage

I suspect that you're going to have to live with just the current five stages.

Hi Brian, thanks for the reply. Yes having looked everywhere in the system and templates we cant find any way to edit it so it looks like it cant be. Just upgraded to 6.0.1 also and doesn't seem to be in that either, a shame as would be a useful feature.

Many thanks
