issue with creating promotions.

hello,

i have issues with creating promotions. i want to create a promotion wherein if a client registers a .co domain he is charged Rs. 620 instead of it original price for the first year. i have used price overide in this and .co domain is selected in applies to and requires field.

now when a client inputs a .co domain this works perfectly but when a client inputs multiple domain i.e. a .co domain and a .com domain the system applies the discount to the other domain (.com) too. whereas there is nowhere mentioned in the promotion to apply the discount to other TLD.

please help.

i've just tried this in my dev setup (using .com/.net) and the only way I can reproduce your error is to have both .com and .net highlighted in the "Applies To" field... if only .com is highlighted, it only uses the promotion on .com domain not both.

if you are sure that .com is not highlighted in the "Applies To" field in your Promotions page, then I would suggest that you delete the promotion and enter it again.

also, empty your template cache...

utilities -> system -> system cleanup -> empty template cache

and if you're using a custom order-form template, switch to one of the included templates - that might show you if this is a template issue or a promotion setup issue.
