consumer preference - refund vrs api

Hi, since we are all consumers here i wanted to ask what is your preference when you buy software. I really dislike API that someone can just turn off your product at will for one reason or another so i try not to use them. I can use them and i do have the means and them available but i choose not to for clients sake.


There is nothing worse than a simple misunderstanding and having your product all of a sudden not work and nothing more than a paperweight because of something that could be handled a different way, and someone hits a couple of buttons and all of a sudden your software does not work anymore. Or that developer goes away or dies and your stuff gets turned off.


So i thought i would ask, as consumers what is your preference.


A. A limited refund policy however no API to turn off your product at will.

B. A more liberal refund policy however with an API to turn off the product at will.

C. No Refund Policy as long as there are videos and plenty of explaination of what you are getting.

D. Refunds have nothing to do with posession of product.

E. None of the above or other.
