install issue

Question

Hi,

The install page sayes...

Configuration File .......... You must set permissions for the configuration.php file so it can be written to (CHMOD 777)

However I can only see a configuration.php.new file and not a configuration.php file - where is this file hiding?

the .new is there to keep people that are upgrading from overwriting their configuration.php. It used to happen quite a bit. And I believe the readme included with the download tells you how to go about installing it with the information that pertains to that version?
