adtastichosting
I am using version: 5.2.1 I have found an issue with domain pricing. I am using resellerclub. An invoice was generated for a 2 year renewal plus id protection. ID protection is ticked for $12.95. Domain renewals for 2 years is priced in my system at 35.90. However, the invoice is only for 26.95. How/Why is it only adding $1.95 for the domain renewal?
brian!
there might be a couple of different issues in play here.. 1. the domain renewal price for a particular domain will be set by the value of the "Recurring Amount" its domain profile -that will usually be the renewal price set at the time of registration... changing the domain renewal price in the domain pricing setup doesn't automatically change existing renewal prices. http://docs.whmcs.com/Domains_Management#Domain_Renewals Automatic invoices for renewal generate using the Recurring Amount value that is set for the domain at the time of purchase. This means that if you increase your domain prices, existing clients prices will not be affected. If you would like to change existing customers pricing then that can be achieved using the Bulk Pricing Update Utility 2. the other issue is that there were three updates relevant to ResellerClub and ID Protection in the v5.3.10 update... http://docs.whmcs.com/Changelog:WHMCS_V5.3#Modules_2 Case #4720 - ResellerClub: Update privacy protection to use purchase-privacy parameter Case #5054 - ResellerClub: Auto renew ID protection with domain if enabled Case #5054 - ResellerClub: Update ID Protect toggle to use new purchase parameter http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?93751-Registrar-NetEarthOne-now-charges-for-whois-Privacy&p=393478#post393478 Impact on WHMCS users:If you resell our products using WHMCS, please make note of the following: You will first need to set pricing for new Privacy Protect orders. Login to your WHMCS Admin area and follow the path mentioned below to set your price.Setup > Domain Pricing > Domain Addons > ID Protection (Just below the TLDs list you can view the option to set pricing) You will also need to increase the renewal prices for your existing customers who have domain registrations with Privacy Protection enabled. You can do this by downloading Version 3.0 of the Bulk Pricing Updater Addon. For more information, please refer to this link. Additionally, WHMCS will soon be releasing an upgraded version of its ReselleClub registrar module that will incorporate all the changes needed to make Privacy Protect a paid service. If you resell our products using WHMCS, please ensure that you download and integrate the updated version to ensure that you can continue to provision our products smoothly.
