adamjedgar
I am setting up a WAMP localhost development installation of whmcs. I cannot get the ioncube loader to work as it gives me the following message Fatal error: The file C:\wamp\www\whmcs\install\install.php was encoded by the ionCube Encoder for PHP 5 and cannot run under PHP 5.5. Please ask the provider of the script to provide a version encoded with the ionCube Encoder for either PHP 5.3 or PHP 5.4 or PHP 5.5. in Unknown on line 0 why is this happening? Isnt whmcs 5.3.8 compiled with a compiler that is php 5.5 compatible? Edited August 12, 2014 by adamjedgar
adamjedgar
hmmm...somehow i missed that whmcs is a bit behind the times with php. I need to go back to an earlier version of php and ioncube. where was that in the installation help file...i missed it when following along. Bloody hell, php 5.5.0 was released over a year ago. Surely there should have been a whmcs php upgrade since June 20 2013??? Edited August 12, 2014 by adamjedgar
