ccdave
Hi All, I am migrating to WHMCS and manually entering all of my invoices for support contracts, most of which I need to reoccur every month. It was the beginning of my financial year this month and I was too busy to enter the information on the 1st. Is there any way of changing TODAYS date in whmcs so I can make it think it is the 1st of July? I can then enter my invoices. Any help appreciated! Thanks Dave
brian!
Hi Dave, I guess you could change the date on the server that hosts whmcs, but it may not be necessary. if you're entering these as manual invoices, then you could change the invoice date from the options tab - though I don't believe that this would produce recurring invoices - only one-off invoices. I would suspect you want to enter them as new orders, but you can't modify the invoice date before submission... so one option might be to edit the clients email addresses to your own, submit the order - you'll receive the invoice... change the email address back to your client, modify the invoice date to the 1st and resend.... though that seems like a very long process to me. perhaps changing the server date might be easier! if your concern is more about future invoices rather than the first one, you could modify the next due date to be the 1st - that way future invoices would be sent x number of days before the 1st (depending on your automation settings).
ccdave
Thanks for the reply. What I need to do is add them as services/products that are reoccurring but the first invoice date is in the future. I cannot see how I can do that with specifying a start date? It looks like I am going to have to enter the purchases on the day they are next due just as if they are new clients with new purchases. Shame as seems a basic option to me. So my idea was to make the date the 1st of July, enter my invoices then they are all going fine. I cannot change the server date as it is hosted with Heart Internet and I am pretty sure they wouldn't do that for me (
