vispl2014
Hi All, We are having an issue with WHCMS , are you familiar with this hosting billing software product? Everything is working fine but one issue and we are confused about it. When we entered an order in the past, and accepted the order, it will then say the order is "active" and then it bills the first month invoice, but it does NOT continue to bill every month the recurring amount. This is very odd, unless we have misconfigured the plans. But checking the plans it says "Monthly" so we are confused as to why after an order is accepted it fails to bill monthly as it should. Also if we are able to get this fixed, we are not sure if we will be able to generate invoices for the orders that have already been accepted or if we will need to make a prorate and hopefully it will bill going forward, or perhaps we will need to start all over again with a new order. We would want to take a backup of the server before messing around at all with the server system. But for now you are free to look and let us know if you see anything wrong Regards, VISPL
brian!
have you remembered to setup your cron job to automate your billing? http://docs.whmcs.com/Crons
WHMCS Ryan
Hello Vispl2014, I am curious if brian's suggestion has resolved your issue or not. This is the first thing I would suggest checking is the cron job and if it is setup properly. Could you please update the thread so anyone else that may have the same question can check this as a possible fix. --Thanks
vispl2014
Hi Ryan, Brian's suggestion has not resolve my issue. so, please give me the possible solution for the above issue. Regards, Vispl2014
brian!
two further thoughts on this... 1. have you checked your activity log to see if the cron job is running? utilities -> system -> activity log if it is running, then there should be entries in the log showing that it has started, the functions it performed and then if it ended successfully. 2. alternatively, have you checked your product pricing settings so that its set to "Recurring" and not "One Time" ?
vispl2014
Hi Brian, I have checked the activity log in the admin login. It has showed some errors. so I have take the screenshot for your reference. Please check it and let me konw your comments. brian!
Hi vispl2014, it seems that you don't have any module assigned to the product - unfortunately, i'm not familiar with Veeam, so i'm unsure as to what the correct module should be (assuming one exists). to quote WHMCS John - "if you don't have a module selected for the product under Setup > Products/Services > Edit > Module Settings tab, WHMCS can't perform any automatic functions." what I would suggest is that you open a support ticket (include a link to this thread in your ticket) and one of the whmcs support guys should be able to have a good look around your system and advise on the solution - they'll probably need to see details that you shouldn't, for security reasons, share here in an open forum.
WHMCS Ryan
Hello vispl2014, You can also try the "Autorelease" module for your product. This module is designed as essentially a dummy module for situations like this when there is no module for automation. To read more about the Autorelease module please see - http://docs.whmcs.com/Auto_Release. --Thanks
