redham
I have a similar problem as is described in the thread HERE. I didn't want to hijack his thread so I started this one. It seems that if you start with the Domain Lookup screen WHMCS gets it right as far as if it's available or not. BUT for example if I start as if ordering another product and the domain option comes up WHMCS will say that any domain you input is available and you are able to order it and pay for it. This spells trouble should a client order ibm.com and pay for it only to find out that it wasn't really his lucky day. HERE is a screen shot of ibm.com, ibm.net, and ibm.org all shown as available.
CSNM-Carl
It's showing as available because you have chosen the transfer option, not register.
redham
It's showing as available because you have chosen the transfer option, not register. That doesn't make sense. What if the customer doesn't own the other domains?
CSNM-Carl
Eh? It does make sense... You are trying to transfer a domain you have registered elsewhere, WHMCS is telling you it's available to transfer and the cost to transfer it.
Daniel
If they dont own the domain then they can't start the transfer. If they choose it and set that domain up on your server then it still wont work as the nameserver for the domain wont be pointing to your server.
redham
I solved it. I unchecked the " Tick to show domain registration options" in the Edit Product page. I still think that WHMCS shouldn't show the other domains when transferring. It also happens on the Change my nameservers option. Thanks guys redham
