Adding Facebook ads conversion pixel to thank you/order complate page

Hi all,

I am trying to add Facebook ads conversion pixel to thank you page. I tried editing the "templates/orderforms/cart/complete.tpl" and added the pixel code( under {if $ispaid}). But when I tried and accessed the page by completing an order by using a promo code I created for testing, Facebook couldn't verify the pixel. I looked into the source code and I didn't see the facebook pixel code there either.

 

Can somebody please help me on what to do now?

did you remember to wrap your javascript code in {literal}{/literal} tags?

Oops, I didn't do that. Thanks for pointing it out, really appreciate it!

I did that and still I couldn't find the facebook code over there. I tried adding an HTML comment <!-- test --> and even that didn't trun up in the webpage.

 

I think I am doing it in the wrong file.

The file you are editing is correct but are you in the right template folder? The path you gave implies that you are using the cart orderform template, is this correct? You can see which template you are using by going to Setup --> General Settings --> Odering.
