arjanvr
Hello, Since my invoices on May 17th, i think this is when i updated WHMCS to 5.3.7-release.1, all invoices it sends are empty. Is this a known bug and how can i fix this problem?
WHMCS Sam
We have had a number of reports of this occurring and initial investigations have shown that this issue is caused by either an empty or invalid Mail Encoding value being present in your WHMCS configuration. Therefore if you're experiencing this issue, please navigate to Setup > General Settings > Mail and ensure that “8bit” (this is the recommended encoding type) is selected in the "Mail Encoding" drop down and click Save to ensure that value is selected. Then attempt email sending again. If you experience any further problems with it, please let us know.
arjanvr
8bit is selected as encodingtype so this can not be the problem.
brian!
some others have found that selecting one of the other options from that dropdown, e.g quoted-printable, then pressing "Save Changes", then select "8-bit" from the dropdown and then finally "Save Changes" again. just because it shows 8-bit in the dropdown, doesn't necessarily mean than the setting is saved in the database - the above should do that, so if it doesn't work after that, then you may have another issue. arjanvr
Support tickets also send empty emails.
brian!
if changing the 8-bit setting didn't help, they it may be useful for you to open a ticket with WHMCS support so they can take a closer look at your setup.
Alex - Arvixe
some others have found that selecting one of the other options from that dropdown, e.g quoted-printable, then pressing "Save Changes", then select "8-bit" from the dropdown and then finally "Save Changes" again. just because it shows 8-bit in the dropdown, doesn't necessarily mean than the setting is saved in the database - the above should do that, so if it doesn't work after that, then you may have another issue. Support tickets also send empty emails. We have had a few clients experiencing this issue. You don't actually need to change the encoding type, simply open the 'Mail' tab and click 'Save' seems to do the job.
