UK Payment gateways - What do you use?

Recommended Posts

At present we were using Paypal and Nochex, today Nochex decided to close our account saying hosting payments are too high risk for chargebacks etc.... Now we have used them for about 7 years without a single issue.......

We want to provide an alternative option for clients other than just Paypal for taking debit/credit card payments (UK)

What gateways are you using?

Our gocardless stopped calling back to whmcs so have to mark items manually, so don't offer it to new customers anymore as we found no one could offer support for us.... Pity as liked it.

How easy did you find stripe to integrate?

Not heard of payatrader how was integrating that too?

Problem I have is not a coder to some of the api and coding is lost on me.... (so plugin would be handy for me)

our gocardless is still working fine ( touch wood)

stripe best to get this http://codecanyon.net/item/mostripe-the-stripe-whmcs-payment-gateway-module/5841721 and its easy to set up. Yes this module is available in this forum, but its cheaper from codecanyon.

payatrader.com you would need to manually mark any invoices as paid

No problem.

We stopped offering Paypal as an option as for some reason without intervention from either clients or us they cancelled some subscriptions ( not caused by non payments) so when we called PP they could offer not explanation and just suggest the client set them up again. they did this 3 times in 2 years

not had issues with paypal yet if honest, I do though have some clients that do not like it, hence the nochex we had until today, used that quite a bit every month too...

never liked the attitude of Nochex staff.

We tried them when i first started hosting 11 years ago and it was a case then of if their service was not used in a 3 month period, then closed your account without notice. so in a way to use their services you had to force your clients to pay through them.
