Hi,

We have integrated cpanel on our whmcs to create domain automatically in the server as soon as the payment received for the new order.

We are testing currently with paypal sandbox account to test the payment whether the payment is working or not.But paypal sandbox is not working for paypal payment in whmcs

Can you please help us whether we can use paypal sandbox account to test payments in WHMCS for any new domain order payment.

(Or)

We need to spend money to test in actual paypal account.

Waiting for your help.

Thanks,

Jaiprasad

You actually can, I have tested with the Paypal Basic module (although there is the Paypal Checkout module as an alternative, but I have not tested in sandbox there).

1. Create a Paypal Developer account
2. Create a paypal "app" in sandbox mode.
3. Create a business sandbox account and a non-business sandbox account, these act as mock Paypal accounts.
4. Use the business one to add the API credentials in the Paypal Basic gateway module configuration in your WHMCS admin area:
https://developer.paypal.com/dashboard/accounts -> default business account -> NVP/SOAP Sandbox API credentials

5. Make an order on WHMCS and try to pay the invoice with paypal, you can check if it's working if the gateway redirects you to https://www.sandbox.paypal.com/, then put your non-business sanbox account to make the payment/subscription (I think by default the sandbox account balance are around 3000USD, you can change it to the amount you want)
