merikiito
Hi all, I am having issues with the supplier of my domain name. I am getting the error attached when I try to unlock my domain name so I can transfer it to another host. (I am only transferring my domain name due to lack of help from my hoster) I don't think I can do anything about it as it looks like an issue that is caused by my hoster and not me. I realised that something was wrong when emails stopped arriving. I have raised tickets but get no answers from them so I called them and was told that the issue was caused by an update to your software and that he does not know when it will be fixed and also because its a free service he offers he really cannot be bothered to help me unless I have paid support??? Considering its his issue why should I pay to solve it? The problem also is that he will not give me anyway of registering for paid support which is even more strange??? Also I am not able to edit email forwarders as there is no interface to do this as it has disappeared, again he is blaming a software update for this and has no idea when it will be fixed. Once again he says as its a free service he really cannot be bothered to spend anytime trying to sort it. The above is a very cut down version of the story so far as the hoster was extremely rude, its currently driving me insane as I have no business emails coming through and its costing me money Any help would be greatly appreciated but I think it has to be done at my hosters side
brian!
Any help would be greatly appreciated but I think it has to be done at my hosters side it depends if your hoster and domain registrar are the same company - in this case, I think you should be looking towards the domain registrar. if they're the same company, then you do have a problem - but if not, I would contact the registrar directly and bypass the hosting company - which registrar module are you using in WHMCS? i'm afraid I have to ask why, if the business is so important to you, are you using a free service to host it? if its making money, then you should be paying for hosting, with proper support, to ensure your business remains online and continues to grow.
merikiito
Thanks for the reply "brian!" I do not have a website and only need the email forwarders. Currently the email side is not working at all and I am not getting any emails. When I log into the management area I have no way of editing the email forwarders or unlocking the domain (as per the screenshot). I have no problems paying for support but I have never been offered it and have no way of upgrading to paid for support as bizarrely the hoster will not tell me how to upgrade. I think I should have said domain registrar rather than hosting as I do not need a hosted website or have a hosted website. How can I find out which registrar module is being used in WHMCS? Sorry for my lack of knowledge and I really do appreciate your help

How can I find out which registrar module is being used in WHMCS? oh I see that you don't own WHMCS yourself, your hosting company uses it for support - if that's the case, there's no point telling you where in WHMCS to look as that would only be accessible by an admin. looking at your whois record, I can see two companies involved in the hosting and domain registrar - the first is Netserve, who I assume is the host you're having trouble with; the second is the domain registrar which appears to be Total Web Solutions (totalwebsolutions.com) - if that's correct, then I would assume Netserve are acting as resellers for TWS. I would suggest contacting TWS about your domain - if they are the registrar, then they should be able to unlock it for you.

merikiito
Finnally have my domain away from old registrar. Seems the domain was unlocked even tho whmcs software was saying otherwise, I don't blame the software I blame the poor implementation of it by Netserve. Thanks for your help
