Cron job for WHMCS not working in 5.2.13

Hi

 

Since the update to 5.2.13 my cron job runs but I get the errors below. If I run the cron manually then it works fine. Is this something else that has broken in WHMCS after a security update ?

 

Cron Job: Email Backup - Sending Failed - Could not instantiate mail function.

You can try to over write the files with the full install files, because here cronjob is working fine, ore put on the debug function and do the cronjob on manual then you see where it is hanging so you can fix that.

Im guessing but it will just be the cron.php file that I need to try and replace ?

you can try that, but is seems lie better to write over the full install files directly in you're ftp.

 

I had same like error before, and with overwriting all whmcs install files i get my cron working again

Sorry, for some reason I missed this thread and started a new one here with a similar issue regarding cron not running.

 

Turns out mine had stopped running with the update to v5.2.13 and the fact that my WHMCS admin directory is password protected, if I remove the protection then it runs as normal.
