What a long title

But it sums up the problem.

At checkout, if I apply a discount code, it will show:

English (All right!):

50% One Time Discount: R$ 149,50

Portuguese:

50% Uma vez Desconto: R$ 149,50

Should be 50% Desconto Uma vez: R$ 149,50

Spanish:

50% Una vez Descuento: R$ 149,50

50% Descuento Una vez : R$ 149,50

And so on with most non-english languages, Italian, French, German and others.

Perfect would be:

"50% discount on the first month: R$ 149,50

"Desconto de 50% no primeiro mês: R$ 149,50

"Descuento de 50% en el primer mes: R$ 149,50

the short answer is because I think the phrases "one time" and "discount" are translated separately and then added together - which makes sense in English, but if you say it doesn't in the other languages (and your span/port will be better than mine!), then it might be possible to fix @ checkout... though it might not correct it in any pdf invoice.

i'll add this to the multilingual translation project - the first part of which, date formats, I hope to publish on Sunday... i'll play with this tomorrow though... I think the initial green text is doable (50% Desconto Uma vez: R$ 149,50), but i'll try to get it to translate to your "perfect" text first!

Saturday Update: it took me five minutes, but i've got this working so that your 'perfect' text translation can be used, in any language, on viewcart - it uses the same procedure that I used to translate product descriptions and date formats.

I want to test this further tomorrow in other order forms, and if there are no problems, i'll add it as a user contribution - as its far simpler than the product description and date format multilingual translations to describe, it shouldn't take me long.
