Quotes and Recurring Billing

I'm having trouble setting up the Quote/Invoice option.

I would like to send a quote to customers for web design and a monthly recurring package I already have setup and working in WHMCS. I setup the quote like this:

1) I manually type in “Webdesign” and assign a price for the first product.

2) For the next product, I click : “Add a Predefined Product” and then choose a monthly package.

Once the client accepts, I can successfully convert it into an invoice and the customer pays.

However, when I go into the Client Profile, I see that they have paid and that their account is active. Yet nothing is listed under products. There is a record of them accepting and paying for a quote, but they are not signed up to a monthly recurring package.

Interestingly, at the top of the Client Summary is the following:

Exempt from Tax: No ******** Auto CC Processing: Yes ******** Send Overdue Reminders: Yes ******** Apply Late Fees: Yes

It says Auto CC processing is on, but will the card be charged next month when the client has no products/services in their profile?

I can't find a way to make the quote system work with recurring. It's broken.

So, if you need to send a quote, make one the usual way. But if the client accepts the quote and wants to pay, don't convert the quote into an invoice (this is the broken part)

Instead, create a new client account. Then add the products/services to their account. Then send them an invoice.
