Discount Web Designer
I have tried multiple times to create product bundles but they never show up on the client side as a product that can be added to the cart. Even when multiple bundles are created there is no category called bundles added to the checkout. I also have a question about product custom fields. If I setup custom fields for individual products and then those products are part of a bundle how is the information collected? It would be great to have bundle custom fields so that we don't ask the same questions over and over for each product. Any suggestions?
Discount Web Designer
Any help here would be much appreciated. Not trying to do anything special here. Just want to use the bundles.
Deeco
I am having a similar problem, I setup a Product Bundle, however on the client end it only selects one product, then secondary product doesn't get added to the cart. Anyone have any idea?
brian!
I have tried multiple times to create product bundles but they never show up on the client side as a product that can be added to the cart. Even when multiple bundles are created there is no category called bundles added to the checkout. http://docs.whmcs.com/Product_Bundles#Using_Bundles You may also choose to offer some bundles on your order form itself, which you can do by ticking the "Show on Order Form" checkbox in the bundle configuration options. Doing this for 1 or more bundles enables a new order form category named "Product Bundles" to be displayed within the cart, listing any bundle offerings you have setup along with the description you set. the checkbox is actually called "Show in Product Group", and when ticked you can add the bundle to an existing product group. i'm not sure the second part about having a product category called "Product Bundles" is still true - I think if you don't assign it to an existing group, it doesn't show.. though there's probably nothing to stop you from making an empty product group called "Product Bundles" and then adding it to that group as above. I also have a question about product custom fields. If I setup custom fields for individual products and then those products are part of a bundle how is the information collected? It would be great to have bundle custom fields so that we don't ask the same questions over and over for each product. Any suggestions? I would imagine they'd be collected as they would for an individual product. http://docs.whmcs.com/Custom_Fields if you end up with a duplication of custom fields in a bundle, then one possible way around this would be to re-design your bundle with hidden products - these hidden products would be based on the existing products in the bundle, but you could remove a custom field from one product, if it was going to be duplicated with a custom field in another product. hidden products can't be ordered directly from the order form, but you can add them to product bundles. - - - Updated - - - I am having a similar problem, I setup a Product Bundle, however on the client end it only selects one product, then secondary product doesn't get added to the cart. Anyone have any idea? without seeing a screenshot of the bundle configuration, it's difficult to say.
