Question

Hi

This might be a dumb question to ask I'm looking for a solution like WHMCS to set domains up with pre installation of a shopping cart, along the lines of Magento or Prestashop can this be done?

basically a client signs up with a new or registered domain and a script automatically sets the website up based on specification of the hosting package, can this hosting package then have a preinstalled shopping cart like Magento? so when you go to the website after the script has created the hosting package, Magento is already up and running?

Thanks in advance

Mal

Automatic installation can be performed on any OS/control panel so long as there is an installer available to suit.

Whether this is a whmcs based matter, well actually not really no, there are addon modules as previously mentioned. You should also note that most of whmcs functionality comes from modules, whether they are official releases by the WHMCS team or 3rd party it makes no difference so long as you can drop one in to do what you need.

If you do not wish to use an automatic installer, you could setup a server group for each specific application, drop in all the servers that will run the application to that group.

In case of cpanel servers you can then setup the skeleton directory to hold the files of the application, when an account is created on the server the files will be immediately replicated into the webroot. That is a good work around, then as long as you make sure the database is created and the config file sorted the rest of an installation can be performed by the client.
