WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 2, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 2, 2006 The intention was to release the clientexec import script for V2.4.1 and then upgrade it to V2.5 when ready, but it would be easier if we only need to create it once for the V2.5 release rather than doing it for a WHMCS version that will not be in use for much longer. Can you wait for 5-10 days until WHMCS V2.5 is stable? Matt

skylap
clientexec import yes please, will buy another license Matt when you release that one !
Volt.Networks
So it will be out about a week after 2.5 goes stable? or the final BETA release? Also, what information is needed to import from clientexec? Acces to the admin panel? or just data from clientexec?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 8, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 8, 2006 It will be out once V2.5 is stable - no exact date, but shouldn't be long after As with all import scripts, it will just need the database login details. Volt.Networks
Does it matter if you import from a different server?

snowflake
Might be a silly question but where will it be once it's released? Client area?
Volt.Networks
Probably, there's a part that says import scripts
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 18, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 18, 2006 Ok, anyone available to test this? The databases I've been given are not any good for running tests on as crucial data is missing such as the clients table. I'm looking for testers during the next couple of hours to try out the script while I'm here to fix the bugs - if you've got MSN that's even better so we can talk "live". snowflake
I'm here and willing to test (as long as it won't delete my client info in ClientExec ).

vnsg
anyone know how to delete multiple customers accounts or invoices after import from CE?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 8, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 8, 2006 You will need to delete the customers individually by choosing the clients you want to delete, clicking to view the Client Summary, and then clicking the Delete Client link in red near the bottom of the page. raaj
I take it this script is ready and works well? I also have Clientexec and will buy another license if the import script works well. Has anyone used this and if so did it go well and smoothly? Cheers Raaj
wise
How do you import when the DB is on a different server? tried putting in the ip address etc - but get an error about it not being a valid mysql src? Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/xxxx/public_html/xxxx/ceimport.php on line 100 Could not connect to the ClientExec database
MACscr
why not just import the db from the old server to the new server using phpmyadmin? You most likely dont have the remote server setup to allow remote mysql connections.
