Suhosin used to be in EasyApache, how to enable now?

Hello all,

I have a server with CENTOS 5.9 x86_64 standard – WHM 11.38.1 (build 13), I am trying to enable Suhosin for added security and I swear it used to be under EasyApache but no longer? It's strange because my csf firewall recommends suhosin as if I could just enable it there? When I google for it there is hardly a mention of suhosin, definitely no mention of how to enable / install it in WHMCS.

Thanks for any and all help,

Tim

Hey Tim,

SuHosin is available in EasyApache if the PHP version chosen is 5.3.27 or earlier. It's currently not displayed if opting for PHP 5.4.17 (currently deployed via EasyApache) as it fails to compile in 5.4.

cPanel has an active case on this (Case #60272). However, unfortunately Suhosin doesn't appear to have had active development since May 20th, 2012 - so it's anyone's guess when SuHosin development will continue to include support for PHP 5.4

There is a (recently released) compatibility update available for Suhosin but I believe its inclusion (or at least priority of inclusion) in EasyApache appears to depend on community interest; see the following cPanel Forums thread and cPanel Feature Request for more information:
