Deleting a Product

When attempting to delete a product (Setup -> Products/Services -> Delete), WHMCS complains:

You cannot delete a product that is in use. To delete the product, you need to first re-assign or remove the products using it.

While this message is very cryptic [iMHO], I think that I understand what it's trying to tell me: A customer has purchased the product and, therefore, the product may not be deleted.

How can I find all of the orders for the product and delete the order?

what you could do is log into Admin, click on "View/Search Clients", "List All Products/Services", "Search/Filter" and then in the Product/Service dropdown, choose the product that you wish to find... that should give you a list of all clients and domains using the product you specify.

having done that, it might then be easier just to make it a hidden product, rather than going through the hassle of deleting previous orders... that way, it doesn't mess up your records and you can always switch the client to a similar product once you have set it up.

Good morning

what you could do is log into Admin, click on "View/Search Clients", "List All Products/Services", "Search/Filter" and then in the Product/Service dropdown, choose the product that you wish to find... that should give you a list of all clients and domains using the product you specify.

This method not worked for me. I have just 1 client (I'm starting my WHMCS) and it's easy to check his product.

I'm becoming crazy because trying to delete a product generate me the message "you cannot delete a product that is in use. to delete the product, you need to first re-assign or remove the products usig it". I'm using a pre-installed verson of WHMCS that has some sample data, including products.

Some help, please?

Thank you
