PWPH
Not sure what's going on but the Andriod app won't let me log in. I had the app installed a while back and it worked fine. One reinstall my login credentials won't be accepted even knowing they are correct. Error: Failed WHMCS rejected your credentials because: Authentication failed The url is correct The username is correct The password is correct The access key is correct and matches the config text. One thing I have noticed though, I think the Andriod app is not saving my password, If I look at the password section it's either displaying three *** or none.
bear
I recently tried this app and had the same issue. It turned out my password had a character it didn't like. I believe it was either a pipe "|" or a ">" that was causing the problem since once they were removed/changed, authentication worked fine. Can't say if it was the app or Android that didn't like it, but that's what I'd try.
PWPH
I'm using only upper case, lower case and numbers. Still won't work.
bear
Not sure what your issue could be then, since changing my pass to be more plain (though still long) then retrying in the app had it working for me. If you're sure you don't have any inadvertent spaces or something in either location, your best bet would be a ticket to WHMCS.
PWPH
Uninstalled then re-installed and now I get: Failed WHMCS rejected your credentials because: Invalid IP 49.176.70.210
PWPH
Added IP to Setup > General > Security > API IP Access Restriction. So that error went away then I'm back to the first error. The AWHMCS APP just does not save the password. Will lodge a support request.
cesiumdeth
I recently tried this app and had the same issue. It turned out my password had a character it didn't like. I believe it was either a pipe "|" or a ">" that was causing the problem since once they were removed/changed, authentication worked fine. Can't say if it was the app or Android that didn't like it, but that's what I'd try. Thanks for the help. I had this same exact error code "WHMCS rejected your credentials because: Authentication failed". Your suggestion worked for me. After I cleared out all special characters in my password I did a test and it worked. Then I went back and sprinkled in a few special characters, for example # ! and a few others worked just fine. I did not figure out exactly which ones were causing the issue, but I know I did not have any "|" or ">" characters. My guess would be either one or a combination of "@", "%", "$", "*", or "&".
