i don't think this is whmcs bug,i'm sorry i post here to get suggestions to fix my problem

i upgraded my whmcs from 5.1.7 to 5.2.5 and the process of upgrading worked well but i got some errors after that..

-i can not login to admin area using my current user+password and got invalid login but i didn't receive email notification (whmcs always sends email whenever invalid login admin)

-when i tried to reset my password i got error "there was error sending email"

-then i went to order page..i can not place order because when i clicked order link,,the page redirected back to same page and won't go to next page

i don't know where the problem,,i don't think this is whmcs bug,,but this is my first problem after upgrading,,i have done several upgrades on previous version and never face this problem,,i have followed upgrade instruction,,,and its very easy

i have created a ticket but its not solved yet :) #YFY-500780

now i restored my old whmcs+database to previous version

please help me to fix this problems

See this thread - it provides a fix for it. We had exactly the same issue last week. It's a bug in the upgrade script.

http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?73707-whmcs-admin-login-failed-after-upgrade

hah,,why doesn't whmcs fix the bug?

is the solution on the following post?

The upgrade from v5.1.6 or v5.1.7 to v5.2.5 fails due to an upgrade failure. Some database update sentences are not executed proberly.

Solution:

To resolve this, use a tool like phpMyAdmin to connect to your WHMCS database and run the following SQL query immediately prior to the upgrade:

UPDATE tblconfiguration SET value='5.1.5' WHERE setting='Version';

You can then run the upgrade process and the upgrade to v5.2.5 should work correctly.

yess..i did it,,but failed

when i ran

UPDATE tblconfiguration SET value='5.1.5' WHERE setting='Version';

i got error

You have to choose at least one column to display

then i edited it manually

column version form 5.1.7 to 5.1.5

then i upgraded my whmcs and i had same problems :)
