WHMCS Chris
This is in the event that you wish to offer free subdomains allowing you to restrict certain subdomains for users who may sign up with malicious intend. ie: signing up for an account as mail.yourdomain.com and spamming
WHMCS JamesX
This configurable allows you to restrict subdomains when offering free subdomains. Enter any subdomains that you wouldn't want your clients signing up with.

And then there was one les
things like. services, service, support, mail, ns, ns1, ns1 dns, dns1, webmail, cpanel, whm, etc etc etc, if you log into whm you will see there is also an option in there that is set for this by default so any subdomain that was created that match a banned one in whm would result in a failure. You might be best to start with the whm lost copy it over and then move on with any more you want. Either that or simply dont allow them to create subdomains, unless that is you have a specific domain name registered for the purpose, at the very least i would say dont allow to make a subdomain of your hosting domain name.
WHMCS Chris
Hello, Not everyone uses cPanel/WHM, which is why this feature is available as alternatively it would just be done inside of WHM rather than WHM/cPanel
And then there was one les
Absolutely WHMCS Chris you are correct. But still, most hosting companies have or do use cPanel.
