when will custom development be starting again

we have a few small items we need done and since they are in encoded files we cant make the changes

We are working on a solution for this, however do not have an estimated time when this will be available. I would recommend reaching out to third party developers such as ModulesGarden, and PlainBlack if your time frame is short.

reaching out to modules garden would be great but this is an encrypted code file that needs changed, ( Invoice files ) want to add CC Type IF payment type is a gateway,

You may be able to achieve your desired results with hooks - depending on your actual end goal.

Not sure why this isnt part of core, but there are a few things whmcs does that confuses me, an invoice created for a other product or bandwidth billing does not show up on the invoices page, weird since its an invoice but hey I am not a tech I just play one on TV

Not only do they tell you no, they won't even decrypt the file so you can take it elsewhere (such as a default module).

Is it not unreasonable to wish for a software company providing a software to an entire community to wish to focus on developing the software for the community itself, rather than delaying the process on one off customizations?

 

Is it also unreasonable to accept that a company would rather not provide unencrypted versions of their proprietary software?

 

I find it respectable that they would rather users seek assistance from third party vendors to perform customizations and focus on building features and fixing issues the entire community can make use of, rather than a single users desire which ultimately holds up everyone else's ability to obtain a new release.

usrlib, I agree and dont have a problem with third party vendors, however there is some stuff that you cant do with a hook, therefor it requires the developers.

Also custom coding for one off users is a service that has been offered in the past, I was simply wondering when this was going to be available again.

When you use a 3rd party Vendors make sure you got the source code and ownership right
