Facebook Connect Module

Hi there,

I'm currently working on a Facebook connect module for WHMCS, its nearly complete, should be completed within the week. The current price been arranged with my company is around £2.50pcm. Any opinions on this? Requests for features?

 

Current Features:

Link WHMCS account with Facebook, auto login on visiting the login page, login by clicking connect with Facebook on login page.

 

Features in progress:

Load picture into users profile (optional)

SignUp with Facebook - user information from Facebook used, then rest of information added to complete client sign up.

Price is a bit steep. You'd be safer going for a one off price (with code). A one off price (encrypted) with annual update. Lowering the price monthly is probably not viable when you add in merchant fees. I don't think there are many mods that are 'monthly'. Interested though in seeing more.

WHMCS have planned to add this feature in the next release but I am still interested in this module.

I was curious as to what people thought on price anyway.

 

There are certain issues WHMCS may face with facebook connect, because of the way facebook authenticates with severs and facebook, a global setting could prove difficult. It will be interesting to see what they do with this, however until now, i will continue work with the Facebook Connect Module.

 

Based on the current process i am using for login, i should be able to expand the module to include othe social connections / create modules for other social connections.
