We all know that some bugs appear in new versions of whmcs. There is also patches for critical things.

We also know from the votes that new functions will be applied in new versions of WHMCS.

I wish that you can inform us (customers) when you think or when its planned to release a new WHMCS. More information from whmcs team what is happening, and what we could expect.

Would there be any new whmcs this year at all ?!

I think I'm not the only one that wants more information regarding what is happning in the feature!"

so in 3 weeks you want WHMCS to rush out beta version and a stable version of WHMCS. I suggest you think of what you are asking as i dont think this will happen

The guy asked a reasonable question, easyhosting.

I suggest you think about how you respond to posts asking reasonable questions. Your comment above troubles me, and its not even directed at me. I've already asked you about this previously too.

yes and mine is a reasonable response as their is only 3 weeks left of this year, so how anyone expect WHMCS to rush out a beta and then stable version in this timeframe.

my comment was really directed at

Would there be any new whmcs this year at all ?!

@Easyhosting: The newsletter sent back in September clearly stated that development on v5.2 was nearing completion and a beta would be announced within the next couple of weeks. So far we've seen no further update on this so it's not unreasonable to be asking on here for some sort of update.

Your response was not reasonable, that goes for many of your responses on these forums how you got made a moderator is beyond me.

yes i know what was in the sept newsletter, they also stated that 5.1.3 would be a upgrade not just a patch. but my comment was to

Would there be any new whmcs this year at all ?!
.

even if they released a beta version today, it would not be stable until next year as it would have to go through Beta first

@Easyhosting All they are asking is for some form of update, considering what was in the September newsletter and there hasn't been any new information since that I would say the original poster made a reasonable request for some form of communication/update from WHMCS which didn't warrant the unreasonable and less than helpful response you decided to post.

@ptomter I had emailed at the start of November and got the following update from Liam:

"I'm afraid we have no exact ETA on the next release however the beta is planned to be release later this month or early next month."

As we're now almost halfway through December I doubt we'll see a beta before the New Year now, though am as eager as any to get the update as this is supposed to resolve the SagePay Token issues with the last release so the module is usable!

@easyhosting It was the way in which you came across in your response to the original posters question.

maybe just the way i put it, but the below comment from the OP made it sould as if he now expected a beta and then stable release by the end of the year ( 3 weeks) and he was not the only one wanting this to happen, which a Beta would take longer than the 3 weeks before being made stable, unless we all want another 5.1.2

Would there be any new whmcs this year at all ?!

yes just read the sept newletter, but since then they had major support ticket issues after 5.1.2 which placed everything else on the backburner.

I think the question has been answered satisfactorily by the community. When there's news to be made known, it will be I'm sure. WHMCS is very much on top of keeping us all in the loop in my opinion. Me personally, I visit the blog often to see what's new.

You should too!

In the meantime, have you dropped in on the new Requests page yet?

http://forum.whmcs.com/requests.php

No need to tell me, go on and have a look for yourself! :!:

I think I'll close this post now, no need to continue this any further here.
