tradehost
I am using Quantum Vault. But when customers go to change their credit card information under: "Manage Credit Card" under billing of the client area, they get the following message: "Credit Card Details cannot be updated at the current time. Please try again later." How can the customer change their credit card details with Quantum Vault? Please advise.
jrmywd
Has anyone found of the root problem for this? I'm having the same problem
tradehost
This is a big headache every month at least two or three times for us. Either we lose the customer, or he is willing to switch to a new account.

adtastichosting
ok just found out we have the same problem and are using quantum vault. am using 5.2.10. Any ideas on this issue? Furthermore, problem may be even larger, here is how I found the issue: client called to pay a past due bill because credit card had changed. I logged in as client and went to update credit card. found the message: "Credit Card Details cannot be updated at the current time. Please try again later." I logged in as admin and updated card details on their account. Then tried to process the payment. It declined- even though client said card is good. So I logged back in as client and went to pay the invoice manually, adding credit card info at that time (the payment page is directly on the quantum gateway). Payment went thru so we know card is good and issue is with whmcs.
adtastichosting
ok after a little investigation on my own what is clear is that the credit card cannot be updated from within whmcs either by admin or the customer. It requires a login to quantum and accessing the customer via the vault to update. Because even if you (admin) update the credit card via the customer panel (and when you do you'll notice that the last four it shows will be the updated card) but then go into the vault on quantum and look at the last 4 it will still be the old cc details. (You can manually update the credit card for the customer from within the vault however) So would be nice if this is fixed at some point but know that at this point only admin can update credit card details for a customer and must go into the vault to do so. What is really bad about that is that every time a customer card expires there is going to be problems.
SeanP
I had the same issues, mentioned in this thread, when I switched to the Quantum Vault module. For those having these issues, I wrote a custom module that adds much needed functionality, when using Quantum Vault in WHMCS: https://www.whmcs.com/appstore/1546/Quantum-Vault-Client-Management.html Edited January 27, 2014 by SeanP
DougK94
I can vouch for SiteOx's modules, it works perfectly.

jbariel
SiteOx - Does this affect/improve the api functions related to credit card capture? WHMCS support is telling me to use the api function "capturepayment" I must store the CC details in the database which I do not want to do. It is also not working properly anyways and WHMCS is telling me it won't be fixed until 5.3 release! Thanks

WHMCS support is telling me to use the api function "capturepayment" I must store the CC details in the database which I do not want to do. It is also not working properly anyways and WHMCS is telling me it won't be fixed until 5.3 release! Thanks Sorry I missed your post... I just now saw it. I'm sorry to say, but the information you have been told, is not correct. Our module does not replace the Quantum Vault module in WHMCS, but adds missing functionality to it. One is its features is to allow clients to pay with their credit card on file (stored in the Quantum Vault). It uses the "capturepayment" WHMCS API function to process the payment, and works just fine without the credit card being stored in the database. As long as the client has a card on file in the Quantum Vault, the payment will be processed via the API function. This works for WHMCS 5.1.x and 5.2.x. We are currently testing 5.3.3, and expect it to work fine with it as well. Please let me know if you have any other questions. jerryb
Okay, I'm getting this exact error using 5.3.7, in every template. While I was testing the new Vault gateway out, I thought that at one point it had worked, but now - nada. Has this been fixed in 5.3.7, am I missing something in my setup, or am I going to have to purchase SiteOx's module (no offense, it looks like it will do everything I'm wanting to do, but if th functionality is already supposed to be built into the system.... ya know?). I don't have any problems with buying the module, but would like to make sure I'm not missing something on my end first. The fact that there aren't any other posts concerning this error makes me think I'm doing some thing wrong...
SeanP
Make sure the settings you have, for the Quantum Vault payment gateway in WHMCS, match what you have set in the Quantum Vault portal (Login ID, Restrict Key, API Username, API Key, Vault Key, and MD5 Hash). The reason I wrote the module I did, was out of necessity for my business. I was using the Quantum Gateway, and decided I did not want the responsibility of storing client's credit cards in my database. So, I converted to Quantum Vault, using the conversion script provided by WHMCS. After I converted, I soon realized there was some core functionality missing when using the Quantum Vault module. So, I wrote the "Quantum Vault Client Management Module" to add the functionality that needed to be there. It does not replace the built-in Quantum Vault module, in WHMCS. It is simply an additional module that adds the functionality that is missing. It allows the client to add/remove a credit card in the vault (even if they have never paid an invoice), shows the client what card they have on file (displays the last four numbers of the card, the expiration date, and the card type), and allows them to enable/disable the auto processing, and allows them to pay with the credit card on file so they don't have to re-enter the card number with every purchase. These functions can be allowed to disallowed by admin, within the configuration of the module. One of the bad things, with the WHMCS Quantum Vault module, is when you update a credit card within the admin portal, it doesn't write the card to the Quantum Vault, it writes it to the local database. This defeats the purpose. My module updates the admin portal to prevent this from happening, and redirects you to the page to update the card within the Quantum Vault. Please let me know if you have any questions. Edited June 16, 2014 by SeanP
jerryb
Sorry for the late update, but thanks, SiteOX! You nailed it - my API user name was off.. I'm going to do some checking as to the CC storage. I want to make sure I don't have anything in the system I don't want - which includes CC info... thanks for the help! SeanP
Glad you got it working. If the client updates their credit card, within the Quantum Vault iframe window in the client area, the card gets updated in the Vault. However, if an admin adds a credit card from the admin portal, using the "Credit Card Information" link within the client summary, it will write the card to the local database instead of the Vault. You just have to be aware of that.
