PC-Mike
Hi I am still using WHMCS v4.4.2 and everything has been working just fine until today. However I just noticed today that new invoices are missing all the generic text, but all the customer info, product info, & my company text is still there. I think that this suggests that there is a problem finding the custom language files, but those files look to still be correct and present and in the right place. (I am using English). The missing text applies to both the html preview and the PDF version of the invoices, and without this missing text they look very sparse! I am not aware of anything having changed between it working correctly last week and it being broken this week. Any ideas how I can track down the problem? If you need any more information ask away. Thanks for your help, Mike
PC-Mike
Has anyone got any ideas? It was all working correctly for last few years, then suddenly this week, the invoices are not generating correctly. I am not aware of anything having changed. Missing text: All the base text from the invoice including all titles (presumably anything coming from the language text files!). Text still displayed correctly: Invoice line items. Customer Name & Address. My company details. However, the language files are still changing text on the website, proving they are still there are partially working. Any ideas how I can trace and solve this problem? Thanks Mike
PC-Mike
Correction: They were still displaying text on the website, but they aren't doing that now either. (Suspect that it was fully broken from the beginning but caching was fooling me.) I am now unable to see the html preview version at all. The PDF version continues to generate but missing all generic text headers. The WHMCS front-end is now missing all text on my website! (The Admin area is still displaying correctly though) I have just re-enabled all languages dropdown on the website as a test, and I get the drop-down box with all the languages, but changing languages there doesn't help, the page continues to display no text in any language. Being on v4.4.2, I have .txt files for the languages in the /lang folder, and all those files look to still be in place, and correct. (Most of them are default untouched files, only the English.txt file has been customised, but it is still dated as last being changed from early 2011!). Any ideas where I should begin? PC-Mike
I just tried changing templates temporarily, but that didn't make any difference. It is like the system can't read the language files at all. I'm guessing it must be a permissions problem, or a text encoding problem. Any thoughts?
shed
We have the same issue. We opened a ticket in support weeks ago, however support has been unable to provide a fix. We have had to resort to cranking out invoices by hand which is costing us a fortune in time and resources and has led to us now considering other billing software. If anyone has any ideas of how to fix this we would be most grateful, we are not relishing the task of moving...
PC-Mike
I solved this by upgrading to the latest version, and that fixed it automatically for me. If that isn't possible or your are already on the latest version, I would consider trying a reinstall of your current version on top of itself. I don't know how you do that, but someone else is bound to know how. Hope you get it sorted without too much headache. Mike
