TheHostingHeroes
HI has anyone found that domains with nominet module that have been successfully tagged to you are not changing from transfer pending to active? I've got the patched version of the registrar functions file from 5.1 patches, it seems to work fine on resellerclub not all nominet pending transfer's never change to active unless we manually do it.
UH-Simon
I just wanted to bring this post up again. I recently noticed that any domains using our Nominet WHMCS module were not having the status updated from pending to active and the expiry date etc.. also were no longer syncing. I queried this with WHMCS support and all they could really say on the matter was "Regarding the sync script function, it will ensure the Expiry Date matches that maintained by Nominet." and "Due to the unique IPS retagging system Nominet uses for transfers the domains are set to Pending status (instead of Pending Transfer). Once the domain is retagged the user would need to manually change the status to Active. The sync script isn't able to detect when a domain has been retagged." and when I suggested that it used to sync a lot more and update the transfer status they just referred me to a page (link below) showing the now very limited functionality of the Nominet module and said "I can confirm that at the current time this is the intended behaviour of the domain sync function within the Nominet module. ". http://docs.whmcs.com/Nominet I am sure I am not going mad and am correct in thinking the Nominet sync used to detect when a domain had moved onto our IPS tag and then sync the expiry dates AND change the status to active???
Daniel
Simon, You're correct - it did used to set the domain to active when it was transferred but now doesn't. I'm not sure why this stopped or why the feature was removed but it's pretty annoying. Edited September 2, 2013 by Daniel
UH-Simon
I am really surprised there hasnt been more fuss over this as it's a major step backwards, especially if you do Nominet domain transfers in any great volume.

UH-Simon
I have been trying to push WHMCS to fix the sync issue (or lack of sync) with the Nominet module but so far no ETA, they just keep updating the case for the dev team to review. It's an absolute nightmare trying to manage transfers of .uk domains using the Nominet module in WHMCS now
