Free domain

Whenever someone orders a hosting plan that qualifies for a free domain an invoice is created and marked unpaid. The Pending Accounts lists the account as incomplete. If I don't check the payment status, I would not know to activate the account.

 

There should be no invoice created or it should be marked paid.

So it's a free product with a free domain and it creates an invoice for $0 that isn't marked paid?

No, it's a $182 product with a free domain. There shouldn't be any invoice created or it should be marked paid. The hosting part is marked paid, just the domain part that is screwed up.

But the product and domain should be on the same invoice then? Product @ $182 and Domain @ $0. There shouldn't be an invoice for just the domain on its own.

That would work. Or leave it as it is and then mark the invoice paid.

That's the way it does work though - if you place an order for a product with a free domain, that product and the free domain would be on the same invoice.

OK, well I guess it's not working on mine for some reason. I just had a custmer signup, paid for the year with a PP subscription. In the pending orders, it showed Incomplate but the hosting was paid for. The domain still showed unpaid. There was no invoice created.

PayPal Subscriptions never get an invoice. Shouldn't be showing as incomplete though if the first payment amount is zero - will look into that.

Yes, that is fine, I just need it to mark the domain as paid.

 

BTW, is there a way to set things up so that domains are not setup as subscriptions? Just one-time payments? Or would I have to allow PayPal Invoices on new accounts? Currently, that is not an option for me as I spend way too much time chasing down late payments.
