ah80
We've upgraded one of our WHMCS installs to 5.1.2 and the new domain cron does not appear to be working correctly. The activity log shows: 11/07/2012 06:00 Domain Sync Cron: Starting Both of these options are enabled in "General Settings" -> "Domains" - Enable - Number of Days to Set Due Date in Advance of Expiry - Tick this box to enable automated domain syncing with supported registrars via cron We don't receive a domain sync report and the due dates do not change. Also, selecting "Tick this box to not auto update any domain dates - just send email notification to admins" does not send any emails to admins. Are we doing something wrong here?
lance
We have same issue, yet cant find what the cron command is
ah80
You can run it manually by entering the file path in your browser I believe. You can also add it to your cron job same way as you do for the main daily cron.
lance
found it now...... having one of them mornings...... on the report that cames back it lists simply about 20 domains saying in sync... should we not see all our domains in there?
ah80
I think it runs a set amount per cron to save on resource usage. Also, fixed my original issue Add $display_errors = true; to configuration.php then run the cron and it will show any errors. In our case, it was looking for a custom registrar folder that we didn't upload after the upgrade.
ah80
Ok, new problem... Sync Not Supported by Registrar Module We're using a built in Registrar module (DistributeIT - Legacy Module), is sync not supported for this module? Matt?
lance
run it again, different lot of domain names, still only about 20-30 no errors
lance
is this normal for only a small percentage of domains come back insync? different ones everytime cron runs.... or is it supposed to do all domains at once?
ah80
Yes, it's normal - I read it in the upgrade notes somewhere that it does around 50 per run. Does anyone have any feedback on my issue?

Si
lance, I'm with you...cannot get more than 20-30 domains to sync. Nominet domains are not being sync'ed specifically and going back to running the 'old' nominetsync cron doesn't resolve it either. AAAARGH! I just want a day off from fixing these issues since the 5.1.2 upgrade. Due dates are not being changed. Yes General Settings > Domains > Sync Next Due Date is ticked Edited July 12, 2012 by Si
lance
Si, seems to be alot more issues with this upgrade than previous ones.... wonder why alot of this was not picked up in beta testing as these seem to be issues that should have jumped out at people......
