CompleteArch
Hi there, I see the client registration form is too complex, there are so many fields clients need to fill out. Is there any way to simplify the registration form, say, only need client to input the email address and password and that's it ? A sample of how to doing this is much appreciated. CompleteArch
@merlinpa1969 I'm sorry I didn't mention I'm not selling domain related products, services are only activated after client pay the bill. so I figure there are no issues on fraud protection and billing. I'm looking at the clientregister.tpl file but still having no ideas how to delete those mandatory fields and hide them from showing in the registration form.

Thanks, I'm new to this industry, I assume the payment gateway shall bear the responsibility of verifying the buyer identity. Can you show me exactly how to set a default value and hide the fields ? Sample helps a lot.

disgruntled
Thank you so much. I've successfully hidden unneeded fields. the point still remains they are still needed, a client wants to make a payment, that client as mentions pays with a stolen card, some time later the card is reported stolen, they come to you for a record of who paid you and you have.. a name and an email address. The responsibility is then on you. and as you dont have evidence to provide they could think you were the culprit.

Good point, now I understand where the risk is.

easyhosting
Thanks, I'm new to this industry, I assume the payment gateway shall bear the responsibility of verifying the buyer identity. how do you come to this conclusion. they buyer comes to you and orders from you so the contract is between you and the buyer you are the one who has the contract with the payment provider to handle payments on your behalf. The client is your client and your full responsibility to make sure they are who they say they are.
